The Fruit Yard Amphitheater gears up for its 2025 season with the announcement of a new concert.

Country singer Chris Young will perform Friday, May 9, at the Modesto venue. Tickets, $68-$172, are on sale now.

Young joins previously announced star “Weird Al” Yankovic on this year’s roster. Yankovic plays Aug. 23. Limited tickets are available for that show.

After winning the Nashville Star talent competition in 2006, Young signed with RCA Nashville, according to the Opry website.

Young was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2017. Among his hits are “The Man I Want to Be,” “Getting You Home,” “Voices,” “I Can Take It from There,” “Losing Sleep,” “Lonely Eyes” and “Tomorrow.”

Officially called The Fruit Yard Chicken Ranch Casino Resort Amphitheater, it’s at 7948 Yosemite Blvd. Tickets are available at at www.thefruityardevents.com.
