Whitney Cummings brings her comedy tour to Turlock Community Theatre, while a cappella group Take 6 will perform at the Gallo Center. These are just two of the entertainment options planned Feb. 8-14 in the Modesto region.

Whitney Cummings

Comedian Whitney Cummings brings her “Big Baby” tour to Turlock Community Theatre. Cummings also is an actor, writer, producer, director and host of the podcast “Good for You.” She created and starred in the NBC series “Whitney” and was the co-creator and co-writer of the hit CBS comedy “2 Broke Girls.”

Take 6

Musical group Take 6 brings its a cappella show to the Gallo Center. The group has 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards and a Soul Train Award. According to the Gallo Center website, “This musical phenomenon has six virtuosic voices united in crystal-clear harmony, against a backdrop of syncopated rhythms, innovative arrangements and funky grooves that bubble into an intoxicating brew of gospel, jazz, R&B, and pop.”

Frampton tribute

The Frampton Comes Alive Tribute Show features the iconic sounds of Peter Frampton. The concert coming to the State Theatre features guitarist Jeff Ellis. The band includes Stu Simone, a former recording and touring artist with Poison; Gary Ponder, who has toured and recorded with the Gary Wright Band; and Giorgio Tupanjanin. The group will play Frampton’s hits including “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way,” “Do You Feel Like We Do” and “I’m in You.”

Hell’s Belles

The all-female AC/DC tribute band Hell’s Belles brings its show to the State Theatre. The group has played around the world, including in Jordan, Singapore, Japan and Canada. Hits performed will include “Dirty Deeds,” “TNT,” “Highway to Hell,” “Thunderstruck” and “Back in Black.”

Music of love

The Musical Celebration of Love comes to the Gallo Center on Valentine’s Day. The concert features ballads “that everyone can, at some point (in) their lives, identify with,” the center’s website says. The show also will include a variety of musical genres such as movie soundtracks, Broadway and opera.
