The annual Stanislaus Artist Open Studio Tour returns with 50 artists showcasing their works in four cities. Tribute bands and Scottish music at the Gallo Center round out the entertainment planned in the Modesto region April 15-21.
Open Studio Tour
See artists at work in their studios during the Stanislaus Artist Open Studio Tour. There will be 50 artists participating in Modesto, Ceres, Turlock and Oakdale during the self-guided event this year. Featured will be jewelry, ceramics, woodworks, mosaics, textiles, metalworks, paintings, graphic arts and photography. Tour booklets are available at Mistlin Gallery, 1015 J St., Modesto, and at Carnegie Arts Center, 250 Broadway, Turlock. Register at www.stanislausaos.com, to receive a booklet by email.

Carole King’s music
The Stephanie D Band pays tribute to Carole King in a show at the Gallo Center. The band’s album “To Carole with Love” celebrates the 50th anniversary of King’s “Tapestry.” Stephanie Damilanos’ piano and vocals are showcased in hits such as “I Feel the Earth Move,” “It’s Too Late,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Where you Lead” and more.

Skerryvore
Two brothers, Daniel on accordion and Martin Gillespie on pipes, whistles and accordion, along with other musicians make up Skerryvore. The group plays music from the Scottish west coast ceilidh tradition on the Isle of Tiree. The group comes to the Gallo Center.

Fleetwood Mac tribute
The group Rumours brings its tribute show of the classic rock band Fleetwood Mac to the Gallo Center. The band’s members re-create Fleetwood Mac’s sound while performing its hit songs.
