Modesto woman dies after being hit by car on Tully Road

A 67-year-old Modesto woman was struck by a car and killed while crossing Tully Road on Saturday night.

The crash occurred about 8:45 p.m. on the 3700 block of Tully, north of Standiford Avenue. Responding police officers found the woman in the roadway with fatal injuries.

She’d been hit by a 37-year-old Hollister man driving a Toyota Camry north on Tully from Standiford, police said. There were no signs the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.

The woman was identified, but her name was withheld Monday pending location of next of kin.
