Body found behind business in south Modesto
Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the discovery of a body behind a business in south Modesto.
According to Sgt. Anthony Bejaran, the body was discovered Monday morning behind a cold-storage business. Authorities could say only that it was an adult male. The call came in at 10:17 a.m.
The site is just south of Highway 99, near the Modesto Seventh Street Flea Market and Livestock Auction.
It is not yet clear whether the death involved any foul play; the matter is a death investigation at this time, Bejaran said. With temperatures in the triple digits this week, heat could be a factor, authorities said.
We will have more on this story later today.
