Trixie, the dog from Kentucky who was found in Turlock, is back with her family

Trixie is finally back home in Kentucky.

The 13-year-old dog is back with her family in Bowling Green, about 2,200 miles away from Turlock, where she was found after being missing for nearly three years.

A video posted on Tammy Crews’ Facebook page shows the tearful reunion at the Nashville airport.

A Turlock resident found the dog wandering the Walmart parking lot on May 15 and brought her to the Turlock Police Department.

Animal Services staff checked the embedded chip in Trixie and, after some research, the Crews family was located.
