Body of woman found in car parked at Modesto’s Doctors Medical Center

The body of a woman was discovered in a car parked in front of the emergency room of Doctors Medical Center on Saturday morning, authorities said.

About 7:30 a.m., Modesto police received a call about the discovery. Stanislaus County sheriff’s Lt. Mike Parker said the deceased woman had been driven to the hospital by a man whose identity is not being released. The car was still in front of the emergency room entrance hours later as law enforcement investigated the case.

Investigators have not determined whether the woman’s death was from natural causes or was suspicious in nature. Parker said the woman’s name, age and residence are unknown.

An autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine her cause of death.
