Patterson leads Nuts over Mavericks, 7-5
Jordan Patterson slugged two home runs and had three RBIs as the Modesto Nuts topped High Desert 7-5 Saturday night in Adelanto.
Correlle Prime had a solo homer and scored two runs for the Nuts. Wilson Soriano had two hits and an RBI and Raimel Tapia added two singles.
Zach Jemiola started for Modesto and went six innings, giving up four earned runs on nine hits, earning the win (2-2). Sam Moll threw two innings of scoreless relief and earned his first save of the season.
Richelson Pena started for High Desert and took the loss (5-5), going 5 1/3 innings and giving up six runs (three earned) and striking out three.
Tripp Martin homered for the Mavericks. Alberto Triunfel and Kevin Torres had two hits each.
