The Warriors’ Draymond Green triple doubled his pleasure this season
In his fourth season in the NBA, forward Draymond Green, the heart and soul of the world champion Golden State Warriors, became an All-Star and a triple double machine.
And pretty much anything and everything the Warriors needed him to be on any given night during their march to an NBA-record 73-9 regular-season record.
Green’s 13 triple doubles were second only to Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook’s NBA-leading 18.

The former second-round pick out of Michigan State (the 35th overall draft pick in the 2012 NBA draft) averaged career bests in scoring (14), rebounds (9.5), assists (7.4) and blocks (1.4). The Warriors’ Mr. Versatility also averaged 1.2 three-pointers and 1.5 steals per contest.
Green was also 16th in the NBA with 33 double doubles. Not to be outdone by Splash Brother teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Green hit for as many as five three-pointers in a game on three occasions.

Green was every fantasy basketball owner’s dream in a 111-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 2, recording a triple double with 29 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists while also adding five three-pointers and four steals.
