Central Valley rolls past Ceres behind Moses Ghiorso’s 214 yards, 4 TDs

Moses Ghiorso rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns and Jamarea Lumpkin ran for 156 yards and a TD as Central Valley cruised past Ceres 48-14 in a Western Athletic Conference game on Friday night.

Ceres opened the scoring with a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown by Chrisstian Vasquez and the Bulldogs led 14-7 after one quarter.

But it Ghiorso took over from there, scoring on a 90-yard TD run, a five-yard TD run and a nine-yard TD run – all in the second quarter. Ghiorso also scored on an 18-yard TD.

Eric Mejia and Emani Anitelea led the Central Valley defense, each recording six tackles. Mejia also had a sack and Anitelea had a fumble recovery.
