Modesto Panthers will be featured team at Quarterback Club meeting

The Modesto Community Quarterback Club will hold its weekly meeting Monday at noon at Coach’s Corner, 950-E Oakdale Road.

A buffet lunch will be served for $10.

The meetings honor one of the city’s 11 teams: Beyer, Big Valley Christian, Central Catholic, Davis, Downey, Enochs, Gregori, Johansen, Modesto, Modesto Christian and Modesto Junior College. This week’s featured team will be Modesto, which improved to 3-2 after a 42-0 win over Johansen on Friday.

Coaches discuss their team’s previous and upcoming games and answer questions from the audience. Schools earn points for attendance at meetings and at the end of the season get a share of the club’s proceeds based on the percentage of meetings attended.
