Hilmar dominates Pacific Grove, looks ready for TVL play

Hilmar completed its nonleague schedule with an impressive 47-8 victory over Pacific Grove on Friday night.

After a bye week, the Yellowjackets (3-2) open the Trans-Valley League season against preseason favorite Ripon on Oct. 9.

Daniel Texeira rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns and Josh Jennings rushed for 115 yards and a TD as Hilmar routed the visiting Breakers (3-1).

Joey Pereira and Cody Renfro had big games along the defensive line for Hilmar, which led 20-0 at halftime.
