Look out, TVL: Hughson is now 4-0 after beating Summerville
As if the Trans-Valley League title race wasn’t going to be tough enough this season. Now here comes Hughson.
The Huskies improved to 4-0 on the season with a 27-13 victory over Summerville on Friday night.
After watching Summerville (2-2) take a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, the Huskies responded with 13 points in the second quarter and 14 more in the third to take a 27-6 lead.
Walter Fountain scored on TD runs of 4 and 5 yards, and Cesar Cuevas scored on a 40-yard TD pass from Fountain. Justice Futch’s 46-yard touchdown run closed out the impressive offensive outing from the Huskies, who host Liberty Ranch next Friday then get a bye week.
Hughson opens the TVL season Oct. 9 at Escalon.
