See which Stanislaus District football player fans voted the best of Week 9

When the Oakdale High football rushing attack needs a change of pace, head coach Garrett Martin turns to senior Richard Flores. While Wes Burford runs between the tackles with power, Flores’ strengths come on the outside, taking tosses and reverse handoffs up the sideline for big gains.

He exploded at the end of the 2024 season with big rushing games and in 2025 continued that production. He is already up over 1,000 yards through nine games and has nearly 20 rushing touchdowns.

Flores had his fifth 100-plus yard rushing game in Week 9 against rival Central Catholic, tallying 196 yards with three touchdowns on 19 carries and a pair of conversions.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him the Stanislaus District’s Week 9 Football Player of the Week.

Flores finished first, collecting 62% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Downey’s Mark Sanchez and fellow Mustang Burford, who came in second and third, respectively.
