See which Stanislaus District football player fans voted the best of Week 7

Oakdale and East Union combined for 126 total points in a Week 7 Valley Oak League shootout. A career day for Air Force commit Wes Burford helped the Mustangs come away with a 71-55 win.

The senior once again did it all for his team, rushing for 423 yards and seven touchdowns on 30 carries and tallying seven tackles, a pair of tackles for loss and a sack in the win that kept the team undefeated in league play.

The 71-point performance was Oakdale’s second game of 70-plus points this season.

The fans noticed Burford’s performance, voting him the Stanislaus District’s Week 7 Football Player of the Week.

Burford finished first, collecting 70% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of his teammate Gavin Wyatt and Hughson’s Titus Beers, who came in second and third, respectively.
