See which Stanislaus District football player fans voted the best of Week 6

Escalon earned its first Trans-Valley League win this season with a statement 27-9 victory in its second league game this season. Not only did it move them to .500 (3-3 overall), it gave them momentum in a league where wins will be at a premium.

Quarterback Logan Huebner was the driving force for the Cougars, scoring offensive touchdowns in every way possible.

He completed seven of 13 passes for 196 yards and a pair of touchdowns, caught a 60-yard touchdown pass, and rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries in the key league win.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Stanislaus District Week 6 Football Player of the Week.

Huebner finished first, collecting 53% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Andrew Shaw of Ripon and Johansen’s Gabriel Ibanez, who came in second and third, respectively.
