See which Stanislaus District football player fans crowned The Bee’s Player of the Week

Jairus Vasquez is one of the reasons Johansen is 3-3 overall and a top-four team in the Western Athletic Conference through three league games.

In the team’s first six games, he rushed for over 440 yards and four touchdowns. His most recent performance helped the Vikings claim a dominant 34-13 win over Pacheco.

The senior rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries and had two conversions in the league win.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Week 7 Football Player of the Week.

Vasquez finished first, collecting 40% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Downey’s Noah Sacuskie and Big Valley Christian’s Travis Lema, who came in second and third, respectively.
