The Mustangs earned their fifth straight win and are 5-1 on the season.

Turlock opened CCAL with a shutout win over Gregori and Downey nearly blanked Pitman, allowing just three points. Orestimba sealed its second TVL win this season with an interception while Ripon Christian and Big Valley Christian’s offenses each were dominant in their respective league games.

Ripon answered with a second-half touchdown but with 3:31 left in the game, a Mateo Navarro interception sealed the Warriors’ win.

Riverbank 17, Gustine 0: The Bruins took a break from Mother Lode League play for a matchup against Gustine and earned their third shutout this season. Riverbank has not allowed a point in all of its wins. It returns to league play next week with a road game against Big Valley Christian.

Lathrop 34, Ceres 14: The Bulldogs could not hand Lathrop its first WAC loss this season as the Spartans continue to impress. Lathrop sits atop the WAC standings with four league games remaining. Ceres will look to get back on the right track next week against Pacheco.
