High school football rankings: See which team enters local Top 10 after Week 4 win

We’ve seen enough, Orestimba, welcome to the Top 10.

The Warriors advanced to 3-0 Friday night with a 42-0 win over James Lick of San Jose on the backs of running backs Nicholas Cuevas, Allen Garcia and Colby Cabral who each rushed for at least a touchdown. Cuevas finished with 90 yards and two scores on four carries, all team highs. That game was impressive, but their body of work is what got them in. They have an impressive 42-14 win over Johansen, a bubble team, and put up 56 points on Gustine.

The Vikings are averaging 46 points a game and allowing just eight.

After advancing to 3-1, Oakdale jumps to the No. 5 spot, replacing Turlock which lost to Folsom on the road.

Gregori, on a two-game skid, drops out of the Top 10, but remains a bubble team. A win this week against Los Banos and a good showing in CCAL play could help the Jaguars return to the Top 10 by season’s end.

The VOL, TVL and WAC start league play this week and two of the best games feature Stanislaus District teams. Sonora travels to No. 7 Escalon in a rematch of the 2022 Division V section title game. Central Catholic travels to Patterson for a matchup between local heavyweights to open VOL play. The Cougars, Hughson and Ripon Christian return from byes.
