See which Stanislaus District football player fans crowned The Bee’s Player of the Week

The Davis High football team lost a heartbreaker on the road against Bear River, but Ezekiel Suarez did his best to keep the Spartans in the game.

A senior and team leader, Suarez rushed for 304 yards and five touchdowns on 17 carries. Through three games, he leads Davis in every rushing category after his career day.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Football Week 3 Player of the Week.

Suarez finished first, collecting 55% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Enochs quarterback Johnny Staggs and Downey receiver Ethan Woodmansee, who came in second and third, respectively.
