Note: The Bee factored in individual statistics, team success, level of competition, all-league honors, and submissions from readers and coaches in creating its All-District team.

QB – Conner Stoddard, Senior, Downey

The signal caller for one of the most explosive passing offenses in the section, Stoddard passed for 3,191 yards and 37 touchdowns in his senior season. A finalist for The Bee’s Player of the Year award, the 6-foot-1 quarterback won back-to-back CCAL MVPs after leading the Knights to league titles the past two seasons. In a season where he put up eye-popping stats, his efficiency stood out the most as Stoddard completed 73% of his passes. He helped lead the Knights to a perfect 10-0 regular season, the school’s first in more than 20 years.

QB – Tyler Wentworth, Junior, Central Catholic

Wentworth faced some of the best defenses around and rose to the occasion. The VOL Co-Offensive Player of the Year finished the season with 1,986 yards and 20 touchdowns, helping lead the team to a VOL title and deep playoff run.

RB – Tyler Jacklich, Senior, Central Catholic

The VOL’s other Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Jacklich put up eye-popping stats against some of California’s best, including rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown against CIF Open Division runner-up Serra. On the season, he finished with 2,206 yards and 30 rushing touchdowns, good for second in the section in both categories.

RB – J.T. Foreman II, Senior, Turlock

Foreman backed up a good junior season with an even better senior campaign. The CCAL’s Offensive Player of the Year finished the season with 1,167 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns and added 313 receiving yards and four scores, helping the Bulldogs to their best season in over two decades and a historic upset over unbeaten St. Mary’s in the section playoffs.

RB – Tarrell Lee-Gill, Senior, Ceres

Lee-Gill was one of the steady presences for a Ceres team that returned a number of starters from last season’s team. The senior earned Western Athletic Conference MVP honors and finished 22nd in the section in rushing yards with 1,313. He added 17 touchdowns while helping the Bulldogs reach the playoffs for the second straight season.

WR – Gabe Hernandez, Senior, Downey

In an offense that prides itself on spreading around the ball, Hernandez’s pass-catching ability stood out above the rest. The senior led the section in receptions with 94 and finished with 1,111 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, which earned him CCAL All-League First Team honors.

WR – Owen Nash, Senior, Escalon

Escalon doesn’t three-peat as section champions if their passing game doesn’t come alive, and Nash provided nearly all of the Cougars’ receiving stats. The 6-foot-4 TVL’s Outstanding Receiver finished ninth in the section with 1,083 receiving yards and added 15 touchdowns. Nash also played defensive back and scored the Cougars’ final touchdown on a pick-6 in the state championship against Northwood.

WR – Jeremiah Bernard, Junior, Modesto Christian

There was no telling which way Bernard would go when he got the ball in his hands. A shifty receiver, he finished second in the section in catches and receiving yards with 87 and 1,313, respectively. He caught 13 touchdowns this season.

WR – Heston Blom, Senior, Modesto

Blom was Modesto quarterback Eli McCabe’s main target all season. The physical receiver finished 11th in the section with 1,046 receiving yards and added 13 touchdowns. He earned All-CCAL First Team honors after a stellar senior season.

TE – Mario Savala III, Senior, Central Catholic

A strong member of the Raiders’ offensive line that did some of everything. Savala III helped block for yet another Central Catholic 2,000-yard rusher in Tyler Jacklich and pass-blocked for Wentworth. The First Team All-VOL tight end also caught 11 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns.

TE – Thys Van Der Hoek, Senior, Ripon Christian

At 6-foot-8, Van Der Hoek was always an option for senior quarterback Trey Fasani. The Southern League’s First Team All-League tight end finished the season with 192 yards and ended the season with five receiving touchdowns, second for the team that won a Division VII section championship.

OL – Manasse Itete, Junior, Modesto Christian

Named to the TVL’s All-League Team as an offensive lineman, Itete’s size and footwork have turned him into one of the best lineman prospects in the nation. He holds offers from a number of Pac-12 schools and Vanderbilt, among others. He helped the Crusaders return to the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

OL – Troy Leota, Junior, Central Catholic

The junior helped lead one of the biggest offensive lines in the area that blocked for 2,000-plus-yard rusher Tyler Jacklich. A VOL First Team All-League selection at offensive line, Leota helped the Raiders advance to the semifinals of the Division I section playoffs.

OL – Navi Arretche, Junior, Hughson

The TVL’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Arretche helped spring running back Liam Bridgford for a 1,500-plus-yard season and protected sophomore quarterback Robert McDaniel, who passed for nearly 2,000 yards. Hughson’s do-it-all offense led it to a state title, and the O-Line had a lot to do with it.

OL – Quincey Simien, Junior, Patterson

Voted the Central California Conference Lineman of the Year, Simien blocked for two 1,000-plus-yard rushers in Lolo Mataele and Sean Hansen Jr. and protected for freshman quarterback Max Medina, who earned CCC All-League honors. He helped lead the Tigers to their second straight Division III semifinals appearance.

OL – Remi Iniguez, Senior, Downey

The CCAL’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Iniguez helped protect quarterback Conner Stoddard and one of the area’s best passing offenses. He also led the offensive line that opened holes for running back Kimoni Ragland, who finished the season with 739 yards and 12 touchdowns.
