Every team is looking for that final win to end the regular season as it’s a great way to enter the playoffs with confidence.

Hughson did just that against Ripon in a close 21-19 victory.

Though the offense didn’t score in the second half, the defense and special teams stepped up when they needed to. Running back and linebacker Liam Bridgford made an impact in all three areas of the game.

The two-way senior led his team in rushing with 136 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. He also turned a fumble recovery into a touchdown and blocked a punt. The fans noticed Bridgford’s performance, voting him The Bee’s Week 11 Player of the Week.

Bridgford finished first, earning 69% of the more than 4,000 votes in the weekly poll. He came in ahead of Downey teammates Camden Rush and Conner Stoddard who finished second and third, respectively.
