The Patterson High football team was looking to post a perfect Central California Conference record for the second straight full season.

All year, the Tigers have relied on their running game and that didn’t change in their regular-season finale against Buhach Colony.

Sean Hansen Jr. led the rushing attack, helping lift his team to a 28-18 win with 180 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries. The senior ended the season with 1,190 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.

The fans noticed his performance for the 9-1 Tigers, voting him The Bee’s Week 10 Player of the Week.

Hansen came in first in the weekly poll, gaining 68% of the more than 13,900 votes cast. He finished ahead of Orestimba running back and linebacker Kai Brazil and his teammate, running back and linebacker Lolo Mataele, who came in second and third place, respectively.
