Note: The Bee factored in individual statistics, team success, level of competition, all-league honors, and submissions from readers and coaches in creating its All-District team.

QB: Conner Stoddard, Junior, Downey

In his first year as full-time starter, Stoddard came into his own. He led all Stanislaus District passers in yards (2,421), yards per game (220.1) and touchdowns (31). He kept defenses guessing all season as four Knights receivers finished with 300 or more yards and at least five touchdowns. Voted the Central California Athletic League’s Most Valuable Player, Stoddard threw for over 300 yards in two of his last five games — including a 395-yard, six-touchdown outing against Enochs on Oct. 15.

RB: Yomi Babalola, Senior, Enochs

A three-year varsity player, Babalola broke out in his senior season. A versatile back in Enochs’ offense, he also caught passes, both out of the backfield and from the slot receiver position. Babalola earned CCAL first-team honors at running back but also played linebacker on defense, delivering punishing hits and disrupting opponents’ rushing attacks in the backfield.

RB: Julian Lopez, Senior, Central Catholic

One of the toughest runners in the section, Lopez was half of the Raiders’ dynamic running duo that led the team to league and Sac-Joaquin Section titles and a state bowl game win. He earned Valley Oak League first-team running back honors after gaining 1,387 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns despite missing five games in the middle of the season. Lopez also played on the defensive line and collected the game-winning sack in the Raiders’ CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Quarterfinals matchup with Lodi.

RB: J.T. Foreman II, Junior, Turlock

Foreman shouldered a lot of the offensive responsibilities with Turlock’s quarterbacks in and out of the lineup all season. He didn’t disappoint. The junior ran for 1,211 yards and 10 touchdowns, added 113 yards and one score receiving and served as a threat on special teams, returning kickoffs when needed. A CCAL first-team all-league running back, Foreman had 100 or more total yards in eight of Turlock’s 11 games.

RB: Isaac Martinez, Senior, Davis

Martinez scored on the ground 17 times, good for half of Davis’ rushing touchdowns. He played through an ankle injury for a large part of the Spartans’ historic undefeated regular season and still ran for 1,078 yards. The senior, who also played linebacker, earned Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors.

WR: Derek Taylor, Junior, Hilmar

Chances are if Hilmar threw the ball deep, 6-foot-5 Taylor caught it. Taylor’s team-high 14 touchdowns are tied for fifth in the section among receivers and second among Stanislaus District wideouts. The junior led the Yellowjackets in receptions (39) and yards (872). He was named the Trans Valley League’s outstanding receiver.

WR: Owen Nash, Junior, Escalon

Just a junior, Nash was Escalon quarterback Donovan Rozevink’s go-to receiver. He finished with 46 catches — almost half of the team’s receptions — and a team-high 887 yards. Though he didn’t lead the team in touchdown receptions, Nash had numerous big catches for the 12-1 Cougars during the regular season and playoffs, including a 45-yard touchdown and a 36-yard catch to set up the winning score in the Division V Sac-Joaquin Section title game.

WR: Javier Nusom, Senior, Waterford

The main threat in Waterford’s high-powered passing offense, Nusom finished the season fourth in the section in receiving yards (1,230) and tied for first in touchdowns (18). The senior plays a lot bigger than his 5-foot-8 frame would indicate, as he scored a touchdown in every game except one and hauled in three touchdowns in three separate games.

TE: Ej Lewis, Senior, Escalon

A 6-foot-4 tight end, Lewis is a hard target to miss and, lucky for Escalon, has some of the best hands at the tight end position in the section. He finished as one of two tight ends in the entire Sac-Joaquin Section with 10 or more touchdown receptions (10) and led the Cougars in touchdown catches. A third-year varsity player, Lewis also played on the Cougars’ defensive line and earned TVL MVP honors for both his offensive and defensive production.

OL: Case Ruloph, Senior, Downey

There’s no 2,000-plus yard passing season without protection from the big guys up front, and Ruloph led Downey’s offensive line this season. In addition to protecting for the CCAL’s leading passer, the line helped produce 28 rushing touchdowns. A three-year varsity team member, Ruloph was named the CCAL’s outstanding offensive lineman.

OL: Jacob Edmond, Senior, Central Catholic

Edmond earned All-VOL first-team honors and helped the Raiders’ run-first offense produce nearly 4,300 rushing yards. He also spent time playing on the defensive line, making 22 tackles.

OL: Nathan Chavez, Senior, Escalon

At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, Chavez earned TVL Outstanding Offensive Lineman honors and was the leading blocker for Escalon’s versatile offensive backfield. The senior also recorded defensive statistics in 12 of the Cougars’ 14 games. Chavez finished with 43 tackles, two sacks and one interception.

OL: Ashton Patterson, Senior, Turlock

Turlock relied heavily on its rushing attack this season and Patterson is a big reason it was successful. The senior helped block for 1,000-yard rusher J.T. Foreman and earned first-team All-CCAL honors.

OL: Marcus Simien, Senior, Patterson

Voted the CCC’s Lineman of the Year, Simien led the Patterson offensive and defensive lines. He helped the offense produce 3,438 rushing yards, including individual rushing totals of 1,284 and seven touchdowns, 938 and 13 touchdowns and 700 yards and 13 touchdowns. On defense, he totaled 54 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and six sacks. Simien, a three-star recruit, will play offensive line at Fresno State.

Kicker: Anthony Wildenberg, Senior, Central Catholic

Wildenberg boasts some eye-popping kickoff stats. He led the state in yards (5,961) and finished second in touchbacks (78). A VOL first-team selection as a kicker and punter, Wildenberg made five of seven field goals with a long of 41 yards and made 65 of 75 (87%) of his PATs.

All-Purpose: Kevin Camelin, Senior, Oakdale

If do-it-all was a person, it would be Oakdale’s Camelin. The senior barely left the field as he played offense, defense and special teams. Camelin earned All-VOL first team honors as a running back and lined up at receiver at times, catching passes from quarterback Jackson Holt. He also kicked field goals and kickoffs for the Mustangs.

All-Purpose: Cruz Marines, Senior, Gregori

The Stanislaus District’s top dual-threat quarterback, Marines passed for 1,762 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushed for 1,030 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named CCAL Offensive Player of the Year and All-League second-team punter after averaging 43.3 yards per punt and placed 11 kicks inside the 20-yard line. Marines led Gregori to its best league record (4-1) since 2017-18, when it was in the Modesto Metro Conference.
