Jason Pimentel has only been playing quarterback for Hilmar High for six games, but the Yellowjackets have felt his impact in a big way.

The senior has led his team to a 6-0 record including a dominant 41-8 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section semifinal win over Casa Roble.

In the game, Pimentel showcased his dual threat ability at quarterback, completing 7 of 14 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns and carrying the ball nine times for 69 yards and two more scores.

His performance in a win-or-go-home game earned Pimentel this week’s Bee’s Player of the Week, as voted by the fans.

Pimentel received 72% of the votes in this week’s poll, finishing ahead of Oakdale quarterback Jackson Holt and Escalon’s Ryker Peters who finished in second and third place, respectively.
