Ripon Christian football coach Randy Fasani steps down. Who will replace him?
After guiding his team to a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI semifinal appearance, Randy Fasani resigned as football coach at Ripon Christian.
In a press release, Knights Athletic Director Kevin Tameling said Fasani and his family are moving back to the Placer County area. Fasani attended Del Oro High School before playing at Stanford.
“Ripon Christian High School is appreciative of Coach Fasani for not only leading the football program to exciting and successful seasons but also for continuing the legacy of others that have invested in the lives of the young men that participated in the program,” Tameling said.
Fasani, who also spent one year as coach of the Knights in 2013, led the team to an 11-1 record in 2019 before falling to Hilmar.
He took over for Trey Ozenbaugh, who resigned last January after five years. Fasani was the team’s offensive coordinator in 2018 and the Knights averaged over 38 points per game.
