Several local athletes honored as MaxPreps releases all-section football team

It was a memorable year for high school football in the Stanislaus District in 2019.

Escalon and Ripon both won section and state titles.

On Friday, MaxPreps released its 2019 All Sac-Joaquin Section Football Team and seven local athletes made the first team and four made the second team.

Downey senior quarterback Bryce Gouker and senior wide receiver Lawrence Harris, Escalon senior running back Kaden Christensen and senior lineman David Camacho, Oakdale senior defensive lineman/tight end Peyton Bradford, Ripon senior athlete Danny Hernandez, and Turlock senior offensive lineman Everett Johnson all were honored on the first team.

The seven athletes made the Bee’s All-District Team on offense or defense.

Central Catholic senior wide receiver Sithri Price, Patterson junior defensive lineman Boss Foumai and junior kicker Adrian Melesio, and Turlock senior defensive lineman Jacob Masihi made the second team.

Escalon’s Andrew Beam and Ripon’s Chris Musseman were named co-Coaches of Year along with Whitney’s Zac McNally.
