See whom Stanislaus District fans voted as The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week

Senior Finley Rosa helped Hilmar finish Trans-Valley League play strong Oct. 22 in one of its final regular season matches against Hughson.

The outside hitter tallied 12 kills, 13 digs and three aces in the Yellowjackets’ tightly contested 31-29, 25-22, 25-23 win.

The Yellowjackets finished the regular season last week with a 24-8 overall record and a 9-3 league record, good for a second place finish. They were awarded a No. 3 seed in the Division IV postseason, which kicked off this week.

The fans noticed her performance in the game against Hughson, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Rosa came in first, collecting 78% of the votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of volleyball players Zaniyah Corneille of Downey and Reese Johnson of Enochs, who were second and third, respectively.
