See who Stanislaus District fans voted as The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week

The Ripon Christian High volleyball team picked up a key Trans-Valley League win over Hughson Oct. 8. In a hard fought five-set match, the Knights won 25-23, 23-25, 17-25, 25-11, 15-4 to earn their fourth league win and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Junior setter Alanna Blanco had her hands all over the win. The setter tallied a team-high 44 assists to lead the offense, finished tied for the team lead in aces, recording three and added 12 digs.

The fans noticed her performance, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Blanco came in first, collecting 77% of the votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of volleyball players Stella Pires of Hilmar and Jordan Beers of Big Valley Christian, who were second and third, respectively.
