Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week

Like nearly every Central California Athletic League baseball series this season, last week’s battle between Downey and Pitman went down to the last game.

After losing the first game, Downey won Wednesday, meaning it needed to win its second game in three days to secure the series win.

Enter junior infielder Ryne Moore. Stepping in as the team’s designated hitter Friday, April 19, Moore went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run scored to help the Knights claim the 12-10 victory and take the season series 2-1.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week.

Moore came in first, collecting 76% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of baseball players Max Medina (Patterson) and Paul Wagner (Hughson) who were second and third, respectively.
