Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week

Logan Ariza helped Davis get off to a good start in its Western Athletic Conference series against Lathrop.

The junior did his part on the mound and in the batter’s box. He earned the starting nod and faced 33 batters in 6.1 innings, allowing just seven hits and two walks while striking out 12 batters. On offense, he finished with two doubles, walked once and scored three runs.

Ariza helped Davis stay in the hunt for a playoff spot as the season nears its end. The WAC is awarded three playoff spots and Davis is currently the league’s fourth place team.

Fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Boys Player of the Week.

Ariza came in first, collecting 37% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of baseball players Max Medina (Patterson) and Isaac Doornewaard (Downey) who were second and third, respectively.
