Pitman’s Rylee Reeves scores on a wild pitch during the Central California Athletic League game with Downey at Pitman High School in Turlock, Calif., Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

The Pitman High softball team snapped an eight-game losing streak April 6 in a non-league contest against Lathrop to secure its sixth win this season. The victory marked the start of a three-game win streak.

The 6-4 win was spearheaded by senior Rylee Reeves’ stellar offensive production. She was one of five Pride players with multi-hit games as the team finished with 13 hits. Reeves finished the game with one double and a triple with a pair of RBI.

For the second week in a row, fans felt Reeves’ performance stood out the most, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Reeves came in first, collecting 60% of the votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of softball players Reylena Herrera of Central Valley and Sophia Machado of Orestimba who were second and third, respectively.
