Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week

Big Valley Christian swept Stone Ridge Christian to start Central California Athletic Alliance play with a pair of dominant wins.

They opened the series with an 11-1 win and finished off the two-game set, putting up its highest run total this season in a 20-9 win.

A Lions freshman had the best game of his young career in the March 28 20-run effort. Brody Butler went 3-for-4 with two home runs including a grand slam, seven RBI and scored three runs in a league win over Stone Ridge Christian.

The fans noticed Butler’s performance, voting him The Bee’s boys Player of the Week.

Butler came in first, collecting 52% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of baseball players Dawson Downs of Ripon and Paul Wagner of Hughson who were second and third, respectively.
