Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week

Hughson High’s baseball team is an impressive 10-1 and boasts one of the most impressive offenses in the Stanislaus District. The Huskies average 10.5 runs per outing and have four players that are among the best in the Sac-Joaquin Section in multiple offensive categories.

Last week, the Huskies’s offense was the best it’s been all season as they scored more than 20 runs twice and picked up a narrow win over Tokay in a 3-0 week. Senior Carlos Guizar was a big reason why, recording eight hits with four doubles, one triple, one home run and 11 RBI. He also scored nine runs.

The fans noticed his great week, voting him The Bee’s boys Player of the Week.

Guizar earned 88% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished first ahead of baseball players Bradley Chipponeri of Hilmar and Max Medina of Patterson, who came in second and third, respectively.
