Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week

No one sets her teammates up in the entire state of California better than Pitman’s Payton Rowell. The numbers prove it.

After the regular season and one week of playoff games, the senior is first in California in total assists with 1,139. In the Pride’s final league match against Modesto on Oct. 16, Rowell finished with 29 assists to help lead the team to a 3-0 win.

The fans noticed her performance, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Rowell came in first, earning 46% of the votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of volleyball players Izzy Watson of Downey and Ripon’s Reagan Wilkerson who came in second and third, respectively.
