Pitman did not have time to feel bad for themselves after dropping a five-set heart-breaker against Oak Ridge Sept. 7.

The Pride competed in the two-day Central California Classic on Sept. 8 and 9, playing against some of the best competition in the Central Valley.

Sophomore Maryn Hall was one of the best players at the tournament, finishing the weekend with 59 total kills and 39 digs to help lead the Pride to a perfect 7-0 record and a championship in the Gold Division. She was named to the All-Tournament team while teammate Madison Eissayou took MVP honors.

The fans noticed Hall’s performance, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Hall finished first, earning 54% of the more than 24,900 votes in the weekly poll. She came in ahead of Patterson flag football player Taylor Mason and teammate Madison Eissayou, who finished second and third, respectively.
