Fallon Freeman is off to a fast start in her final volleyball season at Beyer High.

She is the team’s leader in kills and digs, comes in second in aces and blocks and has helped lead the Patriots to a 5-1 overall record early in the season.

The Patriots on Aug. 29 came out on top in a five-set thriller against Downey High, and Freeman played arguably her best game of the season.

She finished with 15 kills and a career-high 30 digs, helping Beyer overcome a two-set deficit to win, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20, 18-16. The fans noticed her performance, voting her the The Bee’s first Girls Player of the Week of the 2023-24 year.

Freeman finished first, earning 83% of the votes in the weekly poll. She came in ahead of volleyball players Jordan Vander Veen of Ripon Christian and Hughson’s Julia Daniels, who finished second and third, respectively.
