Orestimba pitcher Jacquelyn Lujan broke the school’s strikeout record earlier this season and just keeps adding to her total.

The Simpson University-bound senior played in three games the week of April 17-22. She pitched in two, striking out 24 total batters. The 3-0 week keeps the Warriors perfect in Southern Athletic League play as the regular season nears its final weeks.

In an 11-0 win over Gustine on April 18, Lujan pitched a perfect game, striking out 13 of the 14 batters she faced in 4.2 innings on the mound.

Fans voted her as The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Lujan finished first after collecting 60% of the votes in the weekly poll. She came in ahead of Escalon softball player Macie Vickers and softball player Kailey Estes of Gregori, who finished second and third.
