The Beyer High softball team picked up its second win of the young season March 6, powered by a dominant all-around performance by Jordyn Lish.

The sophomore pitched a complete game and helped herself out at the plate in an 8-2 win.

She struck out 14 batters and didn’t allow an earned run while going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored in a non-league win over Downey. The fans noticed her performance, voting her The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week.

Lish finished first after collecting 69% of the votes in the weekly poll. She came in ahead of softball players Jacquelyn Lujan (Orestimba) and Jazmarie Roberts (Central Catholic) who finished in second and third, respectively.
