The Central Valley High girls soccer team entered its final league game unbeaten in its last eight matches, solidifying the Central California Conference’s top spot.

Though they already locked up a spot in the Division III playoffs, a season-ending victory against fifth place Central Valley would only help with playoffs around the corner.

Senior forward Lissette Gregoris led the team to a 3-0 victory. The Tigers’ leading scorer put away two goals in the win for her seventh multi-goal match this season. The fans recognized her performance, voting her The Modesto Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Gregoris won the weekly poll, earning 86% of the votes. She finished ahead of basketball players Joyce Mulumba (Patterson) and Livi Fernandez (Riverbank), who came in second and third place.
