Here is Stanislaus District fans’ pick as The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week

Oakdale High girls soccer player Kyndra Obermeyer started the season with a six-goal outburst against Stagg and hasn’t looked back.

Obermeyer has scored a team-high 19 goals this season and has helped lead the Mustangs to a 10-0-2 record. She recorded her fourth multi-goal game of the season Wednesday, Jan. 11, in a win over Valley Oak League opponent Central Catholic.

The junior forward scored a game-high two goals and added one assist as Oakdale went on to beat Central Catholic 4-2 for its second league win this season. The fans noticed her performance, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Obermeyer won the weekly poll, earning 48% of the votes. She finished ahead of Turlock soccer player Abby Tucker and Hughson basketball player Olivia Fiveash, who came in second and third place, respectively.
