Here’s Stanislaus District fans’ pick as The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week

Hannah Bibbins has had a career season for the Waterford High softball team. According to MaxPreps, the senior leads the Wildcats in batting average (.435), hits (20) and RBIs (11). She had her best game of the season in an April 27 matchup with Ripon Christian.

The Wildcats and Knights scored 27 total runs but Waterford came out on top, winning 14-13, earning its third league win of the season.

Bibbins helped pace the Wildcats’ offense that exploded to tie its highest scoring output this season. She finished with three hits, had one double and drove in three runs. The fans noticed Bibbins’ great performance at the plate, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

She finished first after earning 37% of the votes in the weekly poll. Bibbins finished ahead of softball players Jacquelyn Lujan of Orestimba and Natalie Camarena of Enochs, who finished second and third, respectively.
