The Pitman baseball team was 10-1 in its last 11 games headed into its April 4 matchup with Gregori.

Its offense has been rolling all season and during that stretch, the production continued to maintain its pace. The Pride had five players with multiple hits in the first game of that series with the Jaguars. Among them was shortstop Christian Jacinto.

The junior had two extra base hits, one double and one triple, had one RBI and scored two runs in the 8-1 win, which was good enough to earn the fans’ vote as this week’s Modesto Bee Player of the Week.

Jacinto finished in first after earning 60% of the more than 16,700 votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Turlock baseball player Griffen Sotomayor and Patterson baseball player Nate Lozano who finished in second and third, respectively.
