Angie Valenzuela played her best game thus far in the season against one of the top teams in the Central California Athletic League.

When Turlock played Enochs on March 31, Valenzuela was one of two players who accounted for most of the team’s hits and all of its seven runs.

The senior finished with three hits and drove in four RBIs as a large part of the Bulldogs offense that outscored one of the top teams in the CCAL. That performance earned her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week award, as voted by the fans.

Valenzuela finished in first place in the weekly poll, earning 58% of the more than 44,100 votes. She finished ahead of softball players Jacquelyn Lujan (Orestimba) and Janeiya Lopez (Riverbank) who finished in second and third place, respectively.
