Here’s Stanislaus District fans’ pick for The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week

The Pitman baseball team won big over Oakdale on March 18 in its final non-league game before Central California Athletic League play started.

The Pride scored 10 runs and allowed just one Mustang score and first baseman Andrew Balentine was one of the team’s main contributors.

The junior helped pace the Pride offensive attack with three hits with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs. The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Boys Player of the Week.

Balentine won this week’s poll, collecting 61% of votes. He finished ahead of Modesto baseball player Eli McCabe and Ripon Christian baseball player Eli Terpsma.
