Here’s Stanislaus District fans’ pick as The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week
Kayleen Zayehmoureh’s final high school season got off to a great start against Hilmar on March 4.
Not only did Pitman High come away with a 19-13 win, but she also finished with a home run in her four-hit, five-RBI game. Zayehmoureh’s impressive game was noticed by the fans, who voted her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.
The senior, who plays catcher and third base, earned 66% of the more than 23,000 votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of softball players Janeiya Lopez (Riverbank) and Randi Roelling (Central Catholic), who finished in second and third place, respectively.
