Here’s Stanislaus District fans’ pick as The Bee’s Girls Prep of the Week

Ranaye Manu was one of the leaders for Patterson’s girls basketball team.

She led the Tigers is scoring, contributing 11.3 points per game and adding 1.6 steals. Manu helped lead her team to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs as a No. 10 seed.

In their first round game, Manu and the Tigers traveled to Rocklin to play seventh-seeded Whitney on Feb. 17.

Despite the loss, Manu scored a team-high 14 points and added four rebounds, a performance that the fans noticed, voting her The Bee’s Girls Player of the Week.

Manu earned an impressive 98% of the votes in the weekly poll. She finished ahead of Orestimba basketball player Ciera Thibodeau and Davis wrestler Jazmine Turner, who finished in second and third, respectively.
