Turlock’s Daniel Malagon has been on a tear for the past two weeks.

He won last week’s Player of the Week award after a career-high 32-point performance against Gregori and hasn’t looked back.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, the Bulldogs went outside their league to take on Venture Academy. It was their third game in four days but Malagon showed no signs of fatigue. The senior guard scored 32 points, tying his career-high, and set a new school record with 9 three-pointers.

The fans noticed the performance, voting him The Bee’s Boys Prep of the Week.

Malagon earned an outstanding 90% of the votes in the weekly poll. He beat out Ripon High basketball player Logan Gillespie and Modesto soccer player Alexis Luna, who finished second and third, respectively.
