Modesto High senior wins CCAL boys tennis individual title

Modesto High senior Coby McCaig beat Gregori junior Cole Whang, 6-0, 6-0 in the Central California Athletic League Boys Tennis Singles Championships on Thursday at Modesto Junior College.

McCaig, who has signed with the University of Pacific, didn’t lose a game throughout the tournament.

Team playoffs begin on April 29 while the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Individual Tournament will be held May 1 and 2 at the Johnson Racquet Club in Roseville.

McCaig is looking to win his third individual section title and second in a row.
