Gregori, Turlock track athletes show well at prestigious Arcadia Invitational

Athletes from Gregori and Turlock High School competed at the Arcadia Invitational in Southern California over the weekend.

The event, which brings athletes from across the country, has produced 31 national records and had 179 U.S. Olympians compete.

In the girls one-mile race, Gregori sophomore Madison Kackley ran in the fastest heat and finished fifth with a time of 5 minutes, 3 seconds. Kackley’s heat produced the top four times of the four heats and she finished sixth overall out of 58.

Gregori’s distance medley team ran in the Invitational race, which features the top teams, and finished 10th in 12:09.

In the pole vault, Turlock senior Silas Fredeen finished in seventh with a vault of 15 feet, 1 inch.
